1950s Black Dress Set with Lace Overlay

 This is a two piece set including 1 dress and 1 jacket. Both pieces have a black/teal green sharkskin base with a black lace overlay. The lace pattern has a repeated swirl. The dress is sleeveless, fitted at the waist with a metal side zip. The jacket has elbow length sleeves, double breasted front and a peplum that ends in a point down the center of the back. The jacket has stiff interfacing in the front, peplum and collar which helps the garment hold its shape. Fully lined in black crepe. The underarms of the dress show a bit of wear in the lace, small areas where the lace has separated from itself along the seam. There is one small separation of the lace in the dress itself, tough to find even when looking for it. These issues are not obvious when worn and do not affect the look or wearability of the set.
