1980s Chanel Boutique Bright Red Silk & Wool Coat

This is a rich, cherry red coat, medium weight. The textile is unmarked (the tag has been removed), but it feels like silk, possibly a silk/wool blend. The style is military inspired, double breasted with gold Chanel logo buttons at the waist, on the cuffs and down the back. Loosely fitted around the bust and slim through the hips. Dolman style sleeves are generous through the upper arm and fitted at the cuff, very cleanly styled under the arm. Patch pockets at the hip. The most stunning detail is the fully functional button down slit at the back of the coat. Lined in red Chanel logo material, feels like silk.
