2021 Sunhawk Farms 'Sleepless Nights' Field Blend

Grape(s): Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre Counoise, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Muscat, Viognier, Picpoul Blanc, Roussanne Vineyard: The eight acres of grapevines found at Sunhawk Farms were planted twenty years ago by John Schaeffer, a pioneer of natural products and solar energy, who bought the 300-acre property and built an ideal retreat up the mountain next to Duncan Springs Peak.  John’s Demeter-certified vineyard includes a 17th-century inspired lavender labyrinth at the top of the vineyard, a 2,500 tree olive orchard and 4 blocks of mixed (predominantly Rhône) red and white grape varieties planted on volcanic and serpentine soils. John and foreman Manuel Nunez are committed to developing and maintaining a biodynamic and self-sustaining ecosystem where biodiversity and regenerative practices are at the forefront.
