There are 220 illustrations of postcards, many printed in the 19th century, and some of which are quite rare. All types of self-propelled ships are included: ferries, luxurious Great Lake passenger boats, excursion steamers, great white Fall River Line overnight boats, and a few trans-Atlantic liners. Each Postcard is accompanied by a caption with historical facts, technical information, and anecdotal material. All the postcards are from the author's collection.By Frank O.
