Everyone knows the “partridge in a pear tree,” but while sketching one day, I found myself wondering what would happen if the pear held the story. That little thought turned into this piece—a playful nod to the classic holiday song, but with the partridge tucked safely inside the pear, like a secret waiting to be found. It carries the same nostalgia of the carol, just told in a slightly more whimsical way. Something familiar, yet a little surprising—much like the season itself.
