Suffield Academy Print by Peter Layne Arguimbau, 9 ¾" x 16"

Peter Layne Arguimbau is a luminist painter who established his own style based on the foundation of the Hudson River School tradition of luminist painting. He creates his works by personally grinding each pigment with oily resins, creating a quality of light reminiscent of Old Master mediums and techniques. Arguimbau specializes in marine paintings and vistas. He resides in Greenwich, Connecticut and is the founder of the Mariner Gallery in Newport, Rhode Island. He painted Suffield Academy in recognition of the positive experience his daughter Terra had at the school.
