Malabrigo is a family owned yarn company in Uruguay and Peru that strives to employ women that might have trouble finding employment otherwise. While the company is relatively new (founded in 2005), it is well-loved around the world. The best part? Malabrigo does not practice muelsing and when the company sources outside merino, they make sure it's muelsing-free as well. Mecha is a single-ply aran weight yarn with excellent stitch definition, and its softness makes it great for next-to-skin wear. The colors can be watercolor-multi, semi-solid, or variegated, but each skein of each colorway is totally unique.
