Sonnax Oversized Pressure Regulator Valve for 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E Transmissions A worn Original Equipment (OE) pressure regulator valve in GM 4L60-E, 4L65-E, and 4L70-E transmissions can manifest in two detectable ways. The first is through a dynamometer test that shows low line pressure during boost conditions, typically 50-100 psi less than specified in Reverse. The second is noticeable vehicle symptoms, including clutch slippage, reverse chatter, and 3-4 clutch failure. These issues are indicative of bore wear that requires attention. To combat pressure regulator leakage in these GM transmission pump bodies, Sonnax offers the oversized pressure regulator valve 77917-07. This Sonnax valve allows pump covers to be restored to OE specifications, effectively correcting wear and leakage at the pressure regulator valve. Key Features Refurbishes the pump cover by reaming the bore and installing an oversized pressure regulator valve Restores control over the pressure regulating circuit by eliminating leakage Note It is advisable to check boost valves for leakage when replacing the pressure regulator valve. When oversizing the pressure regulator valve, it is recommended to move up one boost ratio.
