Fossil Ivory Beaver, Double by Gibbs Othole

A cream tinged fossil ivory beaver with its kit carved swimming right by its side - both with lapis inlaid eyes. This carving is by Gibbs Othole and was picked up in Zuni on a buying trip back in June of 2017. Parts of the outer horn were left to create the mother otter's mouth - with incised cross hatch patterns used to create depth on the scaly tails.
