Antler Nativity Set by Troy Sice - Zuni Fetish

Just in time for Christmas 2022, an elaborate 8 piece bear Nativity set carved by the esteemed Troy Sice - delivered to Sunshine Studio in December of 2021. There are the three Kings, an angel, a shepherd and Jesus, Mary and Joseph. All the bears have pen shell inlaid eyes, jet inlaid claws and burnished tail, ears and noses. Jewelry wise all the bears except the baby Jesus have Mediterranean coral inlaid dot necklaces and the three Kings, the shepherd and the angel have gold-lip feathers inlaid to the top of their heads with a sterling silver pins. As well, all but the baby Jesus and Mary wear kilts like a ceremonial shawls, adorned with incised triangles on the back side - inlaid in paste made from lapis, piepestone and jet. The triangles that represent rain clouds have pink Japanese coral, green serpentine, lapis or Sleeping Beauty turquoise dots inlaid inside them at their center representing rain.
