Dolomite Medicine Bear by Melvin Sandoval

A muted pink, burnt sienna and brown veined dolomite medicine bear carved by Melvin Sandoval - delivered to Sunshine Studio in late May of 2023. Melvin had added a side offering bundle featuring a Picasso marble arrowhead with six turquoise beads placed on top of it, surrounded by coral and turquoise heishi. The medicine bear shape is thought to resemble a cave opening - depicting a bear coming out of hibernation and the pose is the bear sniffing the ground for herbs. The bear is endowed with curative powers, strength, adaptability and courage - powers that can influence both the spiritual and physical realm.
