Marble Medicine Bear by Melvin Sandoval

A muted mauve and gray marble sitting medicine bear carved by Melvin Sandoval from a stone given to him by Cliff Fragua; a Jemez pueblo sculptor. Melvin has wrapped a lovely bundle to the back of the carving with sinew featuring a turquoise arrowhead with a brown matrix surrounded by three different colored turquoise beads and turquoise hand made heishi. The bear is endowed with curative powers, strength, adaptability & courage - powers that can influence both the spiritual and physical realm.
