Angelite Mountain Lion by Herbert Halate

A striking muted lilac colored angelite mountain lion with turquoise inlaid eyes and incised whiskers - carved by Herbert Halate with a tail carved in the traditional Zuni style - resting on top of the lion's body. There is also a softly rounded cylindrically shaped turquoise arrowhead placed on the lion's right side with sinew. For the Zuni, the lion represents the guardian of the north - he is the master hunter, revered for intelligence, prowess and strength of will.
