A prominent gray, brown and black veined Picasso marble mountain lion with turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Peter Gasper with a tail carved in the traditional Zuni style wrapping lyrically over the back. Peter has given the lion an exceptional side offering bundle featuring a pink mussel shell arrowhead with one turquoise and coral bead surrounded by pen shell heishi. For the Zuni, the lion represents the guardian of the north - he is the master hunter, revered for intelligence, prowess and strength of will.
