Orange Alabaster Frog by Michael Coble

A two tone orange alabaster frog with turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Michael Coble perched sunbathing on a rock. Michael has carved the front feet in low relief with the hind legs more realized as they hold on to the rock. Lastly, Michael has carved various sized circles to the top of the frog's back. The Zuni believe the frog is a reminder that we are all the same - development wise - we begin as tiny fishlike creatures in the womb then we evolve from swimmers to creatures of the land.
