Now, we are delighted to offer Rob’s beautiful art from the first edition of Dolores Claiborne as our latest addition to The Covers Collection. Dolores Claiborne was the 32nd book published by Stephen King, originally released in November 1992. The novel, along with the author’s other 1992 release, Gerald’s Game, was originally conceived as part of a larger work to be entitled, In the Path of the Eclipse. After doing a whole series of sketches for Dolores Claiborne, including some of dust bunnies under a bed and many different concepts for the eclipse, the art director at Viking suggested a view of Dolores from the bottom of the well.
