Sagittaria subulata, originating from South America, is an excellent and low-maintenance foreground plant known for forming tight clusters through its short runners. When planting, it's advisable to position individual plants at intervals of 2-4 cm. It's worth noting that under specific conditions, this plant may undergo a sudden growth spurt, reaching heights of up to 50 cm as it matures. However, if relocated to the background of the aquarium, it tends to remain at a lower height. On occasion, Sagittaria subulata may send up a tall flower stem that extends to the water's surface, where small white flowers bloom just above the waterline
