Valve Cover Ventilation Valve Kit (Valve Cover Orifice) I fix a lot of 1.4 and 1.5 engines. The following vehicles have this same type of ventilation valve in the valve cover. If you do not have my PCV Fix/Re-Route kit installed what ends up happening is your ventilation valve will clog. I have worked on prototypes to remove this valve completely and what I found is the engine will always be unhappy with it being gone or blocked off. You cannot do this. The engine needs this in the valve cover. What it does is regulate air flow and disperse it across the crankcase. It will also close off the crankcase at a certain boost level so the turbo can put the crankcase into a (+)(-) specific air flow to prevent piston ring issues. This valve is needed. Since it is needed the ECM accounts for the crankcase flow as part of its air fuel ratio calculations. Because of this I put together a simple repair kit.
