4" needle tip. 24" flame-resistant steel cable. Designed for grilling, this probe has a needle tip to get you the fastest reading, and is rated for 500ºF. The steel cables can take higher temperatures than the silicone cables on our other probes — 720ºF for extended periods. (But they shouldn't be exposed to liquid.)
