Calabrian Chile

Named for Calabria, these chiles have a fruit aroma, with a rich flavor like sun dried tomatoes.  Naturally, they pair well with tomatoes for sauces and can be ground with olive oil or honey to make a dipping sauce. Use whole, toasted, or ground to add a layered spice to your dishes.  Scoville Units: 5,000-25,000 (Medium Hot)  Origin: Italy
