Onkyo DP-X1 and A&K Balanced Cables

PWe are happy to offer balanced cables for the Onkyo DP-X1 portable music players and various Astell and Kern players, as well as the Cayin N5.  Why balanced?  Simply put, less distortion, less noise, more gain.  See our balanced information page. The new Onkyo DP-X1 portable music player has a 2.5mm balanced TRRS audio output fed from its dual ESS Sabre ES9018K2M DACS.  The Onkyo DP-X1 User Manual states on page 89 that Balanced operation provides "a superior effect in the quality of the music." Many Astell and Kern portable music players also feature a 2.5mm balanced output which should be used for top performance.  Please see the Astell and Kern description of balanced output (about halfway down the page).   Indeed, AK states there that balanced output "resulted in the best sound."
