    A top of the line Hand Sewn kilt hand, stitched by Master Kiltmaker Susan Rose from your tartan of choice, and custom tailored to your exact fit. Hand sewing allows thread to spiral around the wool of the tartan giving the Kilt's seams high tensile strength, which paired with our customized leather straps and canvas lining will make your kilt last 40-60 years and become a family heirloom. These are exclusively made by hand by a Master Kiltmaker, and many pipebands order multiple heirloom kilts at a time. Kilts are made in the order they are received. There are thousands of Tartans and not every single one is kept in Stock at the Mills in Scotland. For instance Irish National is almost always in stock, but others that are less common must be woven upon being ordered. Which adds to the timeframe.
