No. 2448 "Greta" Portrait Pendant-Brooch

An oil portrait painting of Greta wearing a mask and ready for intrigue, on a vintage brooch setting with a bail for hanging, measuring 1.75" x 2.25".  THE STORY: Inspired by literature, my portraits have novelistic titles that hint at the adventures of their heroines (and sometimes heroes). In this mini-collection of masked portraits, the directness of gaze suggests a willingness to share secrets, and the masks suggest balls, trysts, and clandestine escapades. THE SETTINGS: This piece is part of the collection of antique and vintage settings which complement this historical jewelry tradition and each in a different way contribute a unique sense of character and old world charm.
