MUG DIARIES: Natalina Woods

Natalina Woods ‘Natalia Woods’ is a Gypsy who visited my mother Violet in the middle of the night. My mother had dementia. Natalina brought with her stories, music, bangles and a delight in the unknown. The Gypsy lady told Violet to forget all this remembering. “The only thing worse and more painful than being a forgetter, is to be a much burdened rememberer.”  Natalina read Violet’s palm and told her that she will be crossing the border soon. Meeting love from a younger man will come soon into your future. Violet eventually danced with the gypsy became friends with her dementias. SHORT FILM 2023:  ‘Natalia Woods’ is the first in a series of short-film scripts adapted from the book Wonders In Dementialand.  The book was selected by the American Film Market for me to pitch at their book-to-movie forum.
