Each basket features a classic stair-step pattern, woven in white, 2 shades of green, and pale lavender. Each basket is fair trade and carefully handmade by a talented Wolof woman in rural Senegal. Each hamper features a point, fitted lid and braided plastic handles. The baskets are constructed of two materials, both eco-friendly: sustainable grass stalks and discarded strips of plastic leftover from prayer mat factories, local to Senegalese weavers.
