Sarracenia purpurea Venosa Red

Sarracenia purpurea 'Venosa Red' is one of the shortest varieties of Sarracenia, reaching approximately six inches in height. The cup-shaped pitchers are light green with purple-red veins when younger and they may darken to a deeper purple as they age under full sunlight. The Venosa Red can tolerate lower light levels than other Sarracenia.  Sarracenia are the American pitcher plant.
