Narrow-leaved Coneflower is a perennial native to dry grasslands and rocky barrens in the Great Plains regions. Its flowers are similar to the more common Ecinacea purpurea but the leaves set it apart at 1/2 inch to 1 inch across, compared to 2-3 inch wide leaves of Purple Coneflower. It is used medicinaly. The threatened Ottoe Skipper's life cycle depends greatly on Echinacea angustifolia and attracts many other pollinators.
