Tiered 3 Strand Sterling Wasp Necklace set with Gem

  Our rendition of the Blue Mud Dauber Wasp...crafted in Sterling, set with a Cabochon of your choice: rich red Garnet bright Adularia Moonstone shifting grey Labradorite. Green Nephrite Jade   Mud Dauber, busy worker of the woods, crafts beautiful ovoid shape mud nests in trees usually, to raise it's young. It's shiny blue black body has always intrigued us, as do it's long elegant wings and long curving antennae. The originator of the term, wasp-like figure. It was a great pleasure to attempt to capture all this great design in solid metal. Our handcrafted Wasp, designed on paper and crafted in Metal by Teresa, is approximately 1 1/4" long, that being the longest wing, its undulating body is 3/4" long. The Wasp's wingspan is approximately 1 " 2/16" wide. Three delicate strands of cable chain link to our own made hook clasp, connected with beads corresponding to your Cabochon choice.
