Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur Meursault 'Clos du Cromin'

A committed classicist, Vincent Bitouzet makes structured, demanding, and age-worthy wines, both red and white, from the heart of the Cote de Beaune. His Clos du Cromin comes from a walled site planted in 1951. Bitouzet owns a whopping 1/3 of a hectare here, and the site tends to yield a more mineral-driven, structured wine. Still, there's ample flesh and classic Meursault character here. Slightly reductive and nutty notes give way to beautiful botanical notes combined with gorgeous tangerine, peach, and apple notes with time and temperature. Overall, it's pure and fresh with good concentration and length.
