From the highly-touted 2023 vintage, this is one of the finest Cru Beaujolais' values on the planet. Jacky Gautheir farms his 55-80-year-old vines organically, and his holding are less than a mile away from Morgon. This wine packs some serious punch! Quite full-bodied, deep, and concentrated, this takes a bit of time to come out of its shell. Decant for 1-2 hours, and you'll see what we mean. With air, this develops into a gorgeous bottle of Gamay. Dark plum, dark berries, woodsy spice, and damp earth on the nose lead into a ripe yet structured palate. Despite being big, this is simultaneously fresh and very easy to drink. Enjoy over the next decade.
