Domaine les Aphillanthes Cotes du Rhone Tradition

Robert Parker called Les Aphillanthes "one of the finest estates in the Southern Rhone." Husband and wife Daniele and Helene Boulle run this certified biodynamic and organic estate in Travaillan, just northwest of Gigondas. Their CDR Tradition is a blend Carignan, Grenach, and Mourvedre, and it is one of the prettiest Cotes du Rhones we've ever tasted. More medium-bodied, fresher, and more floral in character, this is an absolute joy to drink. Flowing with notes of warm raspberry, cherry, violet, and pepper, it is plump, juicy, and incredibly satisfying. Bravo! 93 points, Josh Spurling.
