Domaine Maubernard Bandol Rouge

From a certified organic, small, family-run estate with vineyards in some of most sought-after terroir in Bandol, this is a splendid red wine. Almost all Mourvedre from old vines, this showcases the spicy, black-fruited character of Mourvedre grown by the sea. With 5 years of bottle-conditioning on this one, it's drinking really well. Lovely aromas of mint, violet, cinnamon, and blackcurrant lead into a potent and powerful palate of intense dark fruits, brown spices, and minty savoriness. A ton of wine for the money!
