David Garland, Blue and White Glazed Earthenware Bowl (c. 1980s)
Description We were very fortunate to acquire a collection of ceramic works by celebrated UK artist David Garland, who is often referred to as a "painter in clay." This work is extremely multi-purpose. Yes, you can use it as a serving bowl, but also as a decorative bowl and a catch-all bowl to place in the entry hall to hold things like mail and masks. Most important, it has his signature abstract painting covering just about every inch of the top, inside and sides, even the feet!
