Round Deckle Box, 4" Diameter [Pre-Order]

For handmade paper purposes, our deckle boxes are made with glued up layers of 3/4" maple plywood. The gasket on the box side keeps a water tight seal when latched to the mould for the papermaking process. There is a latch on either side to keep the seal secure. The deckle box is sealed with multiple coats of epoxy resin to create a water barrier. This makes 4" diameter circle-shaped sheets of paper. The outside dimensions of this item when assembled is 5.5x5.5x5" This listing is for pre-order, which means we don't begin production until the order comes in. Generally it will take 4-6 weeks from your order date for the item to be shipped. We will contact you if the item is ready early or if it needs more time.   Care instructions: when you're done using it, allow to dry entirely before storage. Over time, the gasket may compress enough for the latches to feel loose and is easily replaced with 1/4" thick foam tape weather stripping available at any hardware store.
