Hand-Crafted Wooden Bear Cubs

These adorable wooden bear cubs are sure to become a conversation piece in your home. Carved from salvaged wood, each one is unique, with its own personality, hand-crafted by wildlife artist, Kim Nasr. Kim creates furniture out of reclaimed wood--old beams and barn poles, which generates various scraps. One of these caught Kim's eye. He saw a creature lurking there, just waiting to get out so he started carving it, working to release the beast within. Since then, scraps from his furniture business succumb to Kim's knife to become slumbering bears or tigers, cats or dogs or simply interesting shapes. Being old and reclaimed, each piece is slightly different and carries marks, holes, and scratches from its previous life. These pieces can do time as sculptures on a pedestal or bookcase, or function as paperweights or bookends.
