INTRODUCING THE TAKLITE TA-50 V2 LED FLASHLIGHT The TA-50 V2 is the successor to our world-renowned TA-50 V1. Do not let the appearance of this flashlight fool you. It is absolutely packed with technology that you will not find in the original TA-50. Diode Improvements For starters, we chose a diode with a much better color temperature (neutral white 5000K) which essentially translates to more usable light and a more productive form of illumination. This also means that the battery life on the highest setting is significantly longer. Previously, the TA-50 V1 could run on Turbo for approximately 90 minutes. The TA-50 V2 can run on Turbo for nearly five hours.  Waterproofing A common point of failure in the original TA-50 design was the external charging port. Because this had to be easily accessible while also maintaining some level of water resistance, a rubber plug was used to bridge the gap.
