Course Description Parents are always looking for better ways to communicate, connect, discipline, and raise their children. Clinicians are often in the position of educating and advising caregivers and need the skills to do so. Parent involvement can increase the benefits of therapy and ensure that children are receiving the help that they need to thrive both at home and at school. In this course, we will learn the skills we need to foster parent engagement and increase the overall well-being of our clients. Learning Outcomes Participants will be able to: Analyze and demystify the concept of misbehavior. Identify fundamental aspects of normal child development that are misconstrued as “misbehavior.” Identify methods to help children develop the skills they need to develop socially appropriate and expected behavior.
