
Pediatric Client Evaluation Series: Speech and Language Disorder
Instructor Sara Rosenfeld-Johnson, MS, CCC-SLP bio Course Description This video course will teach learners how to conduct an “Initial Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) Evaluation” and four month follow-up “Program Plan Update”, including interviews with the referring SLP and parent, with a three-year-old child with the diagnosis of multiple articulation disorder and a limited food repertoire. Learning Outcomes As a result of this course, the participant will be able to: 1. Complete an “Initial Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) Evaluation for Feeding and Speech.”2. Apply the skills learned in this course to conduct a “Program Plan Update.”3. Complete a program plan including: Sensory, Oral Phase Feeding, OPT and Speechtechniques.4. Apply OPT activities in conjunction with traditional speech therapy to improve speech clarity.
