Make the most of your Power Stroke's Exhaust Backpressure Valve (EBPV) with BD's BrakeLoc. This module connects to the factory EBPV control wire and transforms it into an electronically controlled exhaust brake. Included with the kit is BD’s AutoLoc, which maintains torque converter lock-up when the BrakeLoc is engaged—ensuring maximum retarding force in 3rd and 4th gears. Note that the stock hydraulic EBPV introduces a short delay before braking takes effect. While economical, the BrakeLoc is not a full substitute for a BD exhaust brake system utilizing Variable Orifice Technology.
