Italian composer and pianist (1875-1954), best known today for his operas Cyrano de Bergerac and Resurrezione and for having completed the music of Puccini´s opera Turandot in 1926, after the composer´s death. Autograph letter signed by him, dated in San Remo in 1943, concerning music business, probably to a conductor ("Caro Maestro"...). Alfano refers to the situation of the musical theater with disappointment. In Italian, sold with a transcription and translation. One page with his letterhead at the top, handwritten on both sides, signed at the end, Size is 7.7 x 10.1 inches, folds, in excellent condition.
