F1 Haplochromine from lake Malawi. Sometimes known as a Star Sapphire cichlid.  Does fine on most good, commercially prepared foods. Raised here in Florida. This fish get more beautiful as it gets older. It takes two to three years before they develop the dappled look you see on the fish in the first picture, but it is so worth it.  If you buy a four fish colony, you will get one Guaranteed Male and we will do our best to get you three females.
