Septarian is typically composed of Calcite, Aragonite & Limestone. This rare mineral was formed between 50-70 million years ago. As sea life starts to decay, it becomes rich in sedimentary rock which then forms these nodules. Once the water inside the nodules drys, the large cracks; typical of Septarian, are formed.Each pair will vary and show unique qualities.
