Scooter and DPV Diving Instructor

Become a Scooter/DPV Diving Instructor Expand your resume and diversity by teaching other divers how to make the most of their bottom time and have more fun on their dives, by being able to teach the underwater scooter or diver propulsion vehicle (DPV) diving course. In this underwater scooter and DPV course, you will teach the skills and concepts a diver needs to safely plan and conduct dives using scooters or DPVs. You will teach the divers about the special precautions needed for using DPVs, how to maintain buddy contact and how to control their equipment, so they can safely enjoy the new dive experiences DPVs provide. Upon completion of this program, you will earn the SSI Scooter/DPV Diving Instructor specialty certification and be able to teach divers to use their equipment on dives up to 30 meters/100 feet deep with a scooter or DPV.
