I don’t know if it was intentional or just perfect timing, but these pots landed at a point in Jonathan’s work where everything seems to click... exceptional proportions, great balance, and an unmistakable blend of function and style that’s uniquely his. Each teapot carries some signature touches: undercut bottoms, small bases, narrow openings, and intentionally protruding handle attachments that add a quiet flare. All of that before you even factor in the wood firing — the natural movement of flame that gives every surface its own story. While the phrase “small batch” gets tossed around a lot, here it actually means something. These pots feel frozen in a specific moment of Jonathan’s journey, a chapter you can hold. As Mark said on our last episode of Between the Cracks, “Jonathan’s pots have been beautiful the entire time... but his pots have gotten better, and better, and better.” And it’s true.
