Fleeting Moments

Catherine Lucky Chang’s latest collection of works is a continuation of the series, Awakening Within: The Joy is in the Discovery.  These small, intimate pieces celebrate paper, both handmade and sourced, with drawing, collage, and mixed media.  Chang incorporates marks and shapes onto each work with a spontaneous and playful approach.  Bright, vivid hues meet subdued, natural tones.  Traces of printmaking,  stitched threads, handmade paper scraps, colored pencil, marker, and watercolor combine to convey a life of awareness, curiosity, and vitality.
