Three helices of inlaid cobalt adorn the sides of this vase, which was fired in a wood-burning kiln for nearly 5 days straight. A team of 10 potters took it in shifts to stoke the flames every 15-20 minutes, day and night. The wood ash flowed and collected on the form, causing the cobalt to weep beautifully. height: 7 inches belly diameter: 4.5 inches
