Additional Information: Also known as Hard Maple and valued for its sap production. Makes a great shade tree and provides brilliant fall color. Feeds deer and rabbits, provides nesting for songbirds, woodpeckers and cavity nesters, and early pollen is important to bees and insects. Meaningful to Wisconsin as the state tree.
