Shrub/Moist Soils Package

The Shrub Package includes 25 seedlings, 5 of each species: Black Elderberry, American Hazelnut, Pin Cherry, Red Osier Dogwood, and Winterberry. See individual species pages for more details on the shrubs. Seedlings are estimated at 12-18", 1-0; except dogwood at 12-24" Ideal conditions if planting all five in same area: sun with moist soils.  Seedling information Black Elderberry: Matures up to 12'. A "super fruit" providing many benefits to wildlife and humans alike.  American Hazelnut:  Can grow to 15'. The small nuts feed wildlife and humans. Great for thickets. Pin Cherry: A small tree that may reach 35'. Another wild edible that also serves as protection for soil and slower growing seedlings.  Red Osier Dogwood: Matures at 9'. Excellent for erosion control. Its thick, red branches shelter many bird species.  Winterberry: May reach 12'. A low maintenance shrub that is deer resistant. While berries feed many wildlife, they are toxic to people and pets.
