Layers of Soil Labs

Thank you for your interest in, “Soil Layers Lab’s”. This resource includes 3 soil lab activities for students to explore and investigate. The first lab involves students exploring the different types of soil layers, based on their properties. The second lab involves students testing water retention within each of the different layer of soils. Each lab sheet has a data table for students to input data as they investigate, a testable question, formulate a hypothesis, and a draw a conclusion section. Perfect for grades 3-5! Happy Exploring!
