Well Tempered Prelude (MP3 & PDF)

This is one of Donna's favorite songs. The original piece was written in the key of C major and unless you have an extended bass range you just couldn't play this on a hammered dulcimer. Because of this, I transposed it to the key of D. Not everyone will have a big enough instrument to play all the notes on this one so some creative notating is needed. I also play this song on the album "Chocolate Skies" and I had to change a few of the progressions in this key and on the size dulcimer I played it on. This is challenging but very fun and rewarding to play!
